Launched at noon and caught 20 by 5:30. Found 58 degree water and caught all fish in 2 to 12 FOW. Swimbait and jerkbait did the job and bite really slowed when the wind died late. Caught lots of Smallies, Largemouth, and a few crappie. Also had a few hybrids come later but nothing like last Saturday's action. Got a fly by from the boys on Swamp People which was pretty cool, but the thrill was gone after they made their fourth and fifth pass...
Wind was out of the south from 8-12 mph with overcast. The brown fish were schooled up and were very angry at the jerkbait but when they hit the swimbait, it was noticeably less aggressive. I had about five good ones come unbuttoned that also felt like quality fish. All largemouth were about the same, anywhere from 2# to 4#. After struggling Wednesday to catch 10, yesterday was a welcome bite. Pardon the expressions in the pics, as my friends were accusing me of sending pics of the same fish over and over. Had to make em a little different.
