I don't do mornings, I'm a musician :) But, the wife wants to throw some buzz baits, frogs, zara spooks etc. Can somebody please point us in the right direction for the Old Hickory Morning Bite? Meaning, where's the action this week???

Look for any cane/willow grass beds beginning to show green growth. Caught them this weekend on a buzzbait and floating worm in the grass, shallow water from the bank out to about 5'. Stay on the move and hit as many grass beds as you can. Points and inside pockets. I was in the mid-lake area from Avondale down to the bottom of Cages Bend.

Thank You. That's what I needed to know. Haven't seen much grass where we've been...

The shad will be moving into that grass at first light spawning and the bass will be busting them in the grass.

Once the sun rises a bit throw a spinner blade (I use grayish silverish flat colors) along the edge just inside grass line for me about 6-8" into the grass.

Work Drakes or towards 109

The good grass is hard to find now, weird Spring weather and fluctuating water levels causing “a new normal” on OH. Stick with it, find patches with green shoots coming out. A good bait also is an old school Hildebrandts Snagless Salley. https://www.basspro.com/shop/en/hildebrandt-snagless-sally-spinnerbait?hvarAID=shopping_googleproductextensio ns

Spencer Creek is full of great looking grass beds but I couldn't get a sniff last Friday in them.

Go fish where you fell out of the boat last year, they were in the grass next to the underground spring yesterday when P Diddy and I were walking.

Fished a couple hours yesterday in Bledsoe Creek. I caught about 15 small largemouth flipping wood. Didn't have any good ones but it was easy to get bit.

Going out of Lock 4 at 5:00 am today. We'll see what they are up to!

Nice fish! Glad you all are still catching them.

The boy and I got a few big smallmouth out of one of our creek fishing spots by your house. Other than that, we haven't been out.

The wife is in Charlotte all week, so it's play time! The Afternoon bite is 1000 times better than the morning bite. I can tell you that with absolute certainty!
