So I’m planning on fishing in the morning. I just went out to check everything and as soon as I cut the key on the Alarm went off as a steady tone. Now, my boat has not seen water in two weeks and had zero issues last time out. I checked the oil tank and all is well so I don’t know what would cause it. Last time this happened I had water in the oil, don’t see any now and it’s not had a chance to even use any oil or gas since the last trip. I’m thinking it’s nothing and maybe the alarm is just going bad. Any ideas???

Might be moisture in the wiring somewhere causing the fault code/alarm. Happened to me once years ago...found out moisture caused a ground on my down power trim and low oil warning. Traced and tested the wiring from the switch until I isolated the problem in the control box.

I lowered the motor, pumped the oil and gas ball, hooked the muffs up and cranked the engine. Once gas and water was flowing the alarm shut off...... who knows, I read it was an over heat sensor or fuel flow issue. What ever it was is now worked out. I ran it for a few minutes and all is well, Woods is still scheduled for the morning.

Hope it goes well and no issues.

The floats in the oil tanks can stop floating and trigger alarms. Mine had one disarmed when I bought it.
