It's actually clean. I didn't go yesterday for fear of dirty water but had a friend that was fishing the dam side and he said you couldn't even tell it rained by tge clarity. He did say the water was way up. Last week when we were up there it had come up about 6 feet from the rain but the clarity was fine. He said the lake has come up another 10 feet but the water clarity was the same with the exception of a couple pockets in Indian Creek. He said the water in those pockets was tannic looking but the water temps in those pockets were about 4 degrees warmer and were absolutely loaded with bait. Hope this helps. So it's up about 15 feet from 2 weeks ago but plenty of clean water.

I would have never thought that. Of course I usually put in at Hurricane Bridge. Every time we’ve had this much rain that area has always been muddy.

Randy I discovered nothing but red bottom mud when I use to Walleye fish up stream of Hurricane Bridge, also a lot of red clay banks . And the main river channel narrows up in places ... I think this is what causes the mud color sometimes ... Later in the Spring I think farm land being turned over about the same time the Rains start created some muddy conditions ... I know it does on the Cumberland River chain ... <'TK><:)

I fished there a couple days a couple summers ago when we had a lot of rain and the lake had come up 15-20 feet and it was very very stained. Looked lije coffee. That's why I didn't drive all the way up there yesterday. I was very surprised as well that it didn't muddy up.

We were planning on CH Sunday but my buddy is worried about logs , going to roll the dice on Melton Hill instead , fished MH last year about this time after some heavy rains and surprisingly it wasn't bad and we did pretty well, hoping to catch lightning in a bottle again
