Small bank accessible lakes?

Anyone know of a good small lake with good bass fishing? My boat is in the shop for a minor repair and I am going stir crazy. I haven't fished since last Thursday and it's driving me crazy. I live in Bethpage, and I'm looking for something within an hour drive or so.

Couchville is a good small lake in Long Hunter park. They have a long pier too. Good luck!
