Hey everyone,
I was finally approved for the board so I wanted to give a greeting.
My name is Charles, I am a bank fisherman(for now) looking for tips or to give advice.
I fish primarily at Percy priest dam, nices mill dam, stones river (below the dam) west fork, spring creek and whatever creeks, streams I can find.
Last week went out to Nices mill and absolutely killed them on red power egg. Stayed out there about 4 hours and caught about 15 rainbows 5 pretty big ones the rest were normal hatch size. Kinda worn out on trout and I'm wanting to use some lures.
The river was very flooded, it was chocolate milk colored and rushing way over the dam. It was impossible to stand on the bridge. I was unable to do anything down river except get hung up, but actually caught all my fish right out in the frothy current at the dam.
It was pretty fun.
Tried a rattle trap, tried a square bill but no bass bites... wayy too fast.
I am really looking to catch some hybrid, stripers, white bass from bank.
If anybody has any tips or spots or if you would like to have me go along with ya Id love it! Its hard to find them for me.
I have been bustin banks for awhile and caught plenty of large mouth, small mouth and red eyes. I have found fun patterns. I want some stripes now, anyone know if the dam has them now?
Thanks,
Charles
