Launched out of heartland this am going for a bend in the rod and ended up on a good bluegill pattern, fishing around creek mouths and a little ways up in them, fish were caught on or near the bottom in 7-12ft, fishing with a 1/16 Oz jig and 2" grub tipped with a nibblet of crawler, biggest gill went 9.6", had about 20 over 8" and had ten over 9", nice chunky big shoulder gills, Ended up keeping 30 and released another 60 or more, Once again I had another monster largemouth pull the boat around for a while before going under the boat and broke off, she jumped by the boat and was easilly 20"+, took a buddy fishing that hadn't been in 20 years and boy did he have a blast for most of the day it was a bite on every cast didn't see a boat all day until heading back to the ramp saw a barge, also seen a massive beaver pushing 40lbs swimming along the bank. Water temp in the stones was in the low 50's and main river was 46-48 degrees.

Very nice! What was the water color in the main river? It looks like they were pulling 20K plus CFM.

Color was a little stained but fishable not mud soup like the other rivers around
