Thought I had the perfect country meal but it was NOT.
The "tradition" is that fresh crappie filets and hushpuppies are to be served with white beans and Cole slaw. The two aforementioned items were absent from last night's dinner and I was promptly corrected.
When I mentioned that I hadn't had TIME to procure (or make) those two items, I was reminded that one HAS to make or procure said items. TRADITION DEMANDS IT!
Well, gosh darn! I reckon I best stock up a few cans of white beans and a tub or two of store bought Cole slaw! Cause ya never know when I might bring home another mess of crappie for a fresh TRADITIONAL country dinner.http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20161224/b5899251d7cca483b1bc707b173f757c.jpg
This is the picture of my sad attempt at a "traditional" country dinner.
The next one will be PERFECT!
