I'm mainly a bass and trout fisherman but always try to catch a few crappies for the freezer this time of year. Always done well on Priest but was thinking about trying Old Hickory for crappies here soon. I keep hearing they typically run a few weeks behind the crappie on Priest. Any truth to that from what y'all have seen? Thanks in advance.

I have heard they are up now but haven't check them yet.

For me Percy has always been better for crappie numbers but not big crappie. OH has had more big crappie but less numbers on average.

Just from my experience.

Both lakes have a super crappie population.. The difference in my opinion is, preist has markers showing where the TWRA fish attractors are. OHL doesn't..

Ain't nothing wrong with the size of crappie in JPP.

OH has been on a see saw this spring. Should get better as the water warms again.

Yes it has. I think mainly because of the weird weather. The water will be on a warming trend and then it turns cold for a few days and messes everything up. But real soon it will turn steady and it'll be like clockwork.
