Hey guys (and gals, I guess...do we have gals?),

I'm looking for a good mechanic I can trust to work on my motor for me. It's a carbureted Mercury 150. I don't mind driving for the right service, so any location is fine.

Thanks in advance!

Bobby at Lakeshore Marine has always done me right. He is mainly a Mercury guy.

Bobby is the best, I have never used him, but I have sent several to him and every single person was more than pleased with service and price.

Tony Madewell sold his house and shop. Don't know where he moved. Pretty sure he retired retired. You might call him.

Yeah he is good and knows his stuff. Heck we pulled up over there last fall to have him change the impeller, and he showed my little girls how to do it and even had them help. That alone means a lot these days.

I use to make a load of money on tuneups and general service over the weekend.
Older motors are a breeze to work on, biggest expense is the parts. Save yourself a ton of money and do it yourself.

Took it to Bobby at Lakeshore today. What a guy! I was having a few issues and I'm not mechanically inclined enough to be wrenching on it myself yet. He was cool enough to show me a few things I can do my self to keep things up.

Very fair on the price and I'm real happy with the service. Will definitely go back. Thanks to you guys for the recommendation!
