Bluecat 2/13 (http://imgur.com/a/SZSH3)
Decided to head down to Williamsport this morning and brave the bitter cold. Air temp was about 25 or so when I launched. Water temps were 44-45. I launched at Shellcracker first...that was a mistake. The water is very dirty and I had no bites. So I loaded up and head over to Bluecat. The water was much cleaner. Wish I would have launched there to begin with!
It was tough to stay on a spot with the wind blowing. I did have a drift sock going and it helped a little, but I probably would have been better off just anchoring. I was fishing a jerkbait (LC Pointer SP 78) in American Shad color. I caught all of my fish on one main lake point in about 10-12 FOW. with the boat sitting in about 16. Ended up getting 5, these being the best two. Look at the bellies on these gluttons! :D
Interesting little tidbit/observation: when I went back to the launch and put my boat on the trailer, I noticed a school making a mad dash under my trailer. I think they were shad...and they were pretty much the exact same size as my jerkbait. Go figure! Man, I really wish I would have been fishing the clear water all day.
