For those who fish Normandy there has not been a shad kill yet. Thought there would have been after the single digit temps.

Hmm, I thought it would have happened too. I wanted to go today and fish but with the weather I think I will hold off. We shut the office down early this morning due to the snow.

So does that mean the fishing is better? Or worse? Or does it mean targeting fish is harder?

Some will tell you it is worse some will tell you it is better. I think it gets better. A lot of feeding going on.....they will literally gorge themselves until they look like they will pop. But there is no shad kill as of yet.

Does low water temps affect trout? If so what is that point? They dumped trout in Franklin yesterday and very few were caught. Might go try today.

Yes it does. If water is very low 40's and when it is under 40 they can slow down a lot. I confirmed this several years back with a TWRA trout biologist....
