I thought Randy might be going back to Normandy yesterday so I hesitated to go and jinx his day. Left home about 10:45 hoping he had caught another 99 and I would not jinx him.
Called Randy as I was leaving and he did not answer (avoiding me). Just as I made my first cast Randy called. Said he had just left but was turning around and coming back. Now that is a friend to have.
We had a very short but good conversation before Randy left. As he was leaving he commented on a subject that I think about often. Old friends never know when each meeting will be the last. About an hour later I really thought that my time had come to leave the fish to the rest of you.
When Randy left I drove down river and caught 5 in a few minutes. I suddenly started feeling weak and about to faint. Got to my car and drove to the market up the road. Sat sown in a chair and leaned over. Passed out for a few seconds. Woke up and felt better but very very weak. Had cold sweats and was very pale. No pains anywhere. The lady in the store was so polite. Called my wife and told her I would drive to Shelbyville if she and a friend would come pick me up. All seems to be well today.
As Randy said. Any meeting of friends could be the last. Enjoy your time with them.
