With all of the rains recently, I was curious of the lake conditions at Woods and Tims. I drove over to Woods this morning and crossed the lake by Morris Ferry. The lake looks like chocolate milk all over, is very high and has a lot of current flowing under the bridge. Then continued on over to Winchester and the Bass Club boat ramp. Also looked like chocolate milk as far as you can see. Drove around the south side of the lake and stopped at Devils Step. Water is muddy but not total chocolate milk. There were several vehicles with trailers in the parking lot. I then crossed the lake at Mannford bridge and the water looked fairly clear. Then crossed Big Hurricane at Awalt and water looks good. Finally stopped at Holiday Landing. Cove is very muddy. By judging the angle of the walkway that leads to the dock, the water is close to Summer levels. Water had been very low before the rains.

I kayak fished Tims yesterday at Turkey Creek. Windy and one bite. You're right, looks like Count Chocula pissed in the lake. Lol.
But it was 75 and December. How can you resist.

Chocolate Milk chases me off :) I'm in Illinois all week. I had hopes of fishing up here but it's rained since last Friday and it's flooding everywhere. I drove by one of the lakes I fish and it's over flowing the banks and brown milk. I did get to shop today with all the rain going on and got a smoking deal on a new Omen13 spinning rod from Gander. Might pick another up before I leave town.

Looking at the weather I think I might try and fish Sunday on Tims. I hope by then the water has cleared up because I'm looking to improve on my last outing.

Farley, Normandy is chocolate milk the entire lake, went over Saturday lake is almost at summer pool after being less than two feet from reaching winter pool, visibility is 2 inches on most places, it will take a while to clear and come down again

Planning on Tims this weekend. Will troll with Urigs if I can find any decent water with baitfish. Those Urigs will generate hits when you see nothing on the depth finder. Urigs really pi$$ off Stripers.

Run the Urigs about 15 feet deep at 2.5 to 2.7 MPH.
