Went to Cumberland city yesterday and fished from the bank a little on the "catwalk." first time down there from the shore.
There was a ton of skipjack, all sizes, we caught a couple of crappie and largemouth as well. Guys down there were saying the stripers were really in there a couple weeks ago and the catfish bite has been ok.
im going to take my inlaws out tomorrow on the boat and think we may head down that way.

I noticed the boat launch that is right there is closed, anyone know of the next closest one? Only one i can think of is about 5 miles upstream

Maybe ask the Ferry Captain if you can launch there.

Were you able to find a ramp any closer to the plant that was open? Would love to hear a report on the latest trip. Thanks for sharing.

Well we didnt end up going to the steamplant, we actually just went to cheatham instead, i figured i knew it a little better and they could at least catch something that way.
we didnt do that great, 1 striper, 1 white bass and a couple small catfish. skipjack were hard to catch, we hit it hard an only came up with about 8 for the whole day. couple people were sauger fishing but didnt seem to be doin that great. alot of whitebass in there tho
