Caught a couple, well almost, limits she'll cracker Cuba Landing. Night crawlers & bison trout magnets. Add blue gill and 4 spot bass to mix made for a good day on the water.
Photo of the ones I kept. Partner kept the rest. Good table fare. http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/10/30/6a929df77321cd399204d0dd53888106.jpg

Ninety-three miles. Eighty- five to S. Pittsburg. Not too far to catch a good mess of shell crackers.

Nice job! Not interested in your honey hole but do you mind sharing how you were fishing for the redears? I fish the middle and upper end of KY lake a little. Never thought much about them this time of year. I hear you on the drive. I'm 88 miles from Mousetail.

We r catching in the mouth of creeks where the current breaks, and there is grass or growth, where the snails are on the growth. Catch many small blue gill, but when the shell crackers move in, hold on.

Shell cracker feed on the bottom. The bite is better after a cold night.
