Went crappie fishing yesterday. Cold front conditions made for a very tough day.
My favorite brushpiles were only giving up short fish.
Moved around a LOT and fished multiple deep water piles.
Managed to scrape up a dozen keepers but a very tough bite.
Expect today would be about the same.

How deep were you fishing? I went out last Thursday with a friend and fished around 15' deep and found fish. We caught 13 keepers along with a few shorts in a few hours. We scanned every brush pile I could think of and only found fish on two piles. They were both in the depth range. I am going to try and get out this weekend and catch some more.

I searched all my spots right off the channel in 30-40' of water and there were no fish on them. He has an HDS9 on his boat, first time I have ever used side/down scan. It's amazing how efficient fishing becomes when you can just drive around scanning for fish instead of wasting time fishing dead water.
