Decided I needed to devise a better way to measure, weigh, and photograph my fish when fishing solo.

Made up a pole that fits into my pedestal base that I can hang my gripper/50 lb scale onto so I can photograph not only the fish, but the weight also.

I made the board to 52 inches because it's doubtful that I'll ever catch one that big.
The pole will stow in one of my side rod racks til needed.

The distance from the gripper jaws to the deck is 56 inches. I hope to catch one whose tail will drag the deck!

Striper Pole! I think you can end up throwing just as much money at either.....

Actually I have thrown a LOT more money at fish than I would have ever thrown at strippers!

You are not the only one. I would be afraid to add up all the money I spend towards fishing.
