I took a good Dentist friend out and I hope he's still a friend after a slow morning on JPP bass fishing. LOL. We only caught 4 bass with not much size, 2 of them were smallmouth. I put in at Long Hunter (Was good to see Agelessone there) around 6 picked up my friend at 7:30. We fished every lure you can think of. We fished bluff walls, shallow rock, some humps, banks close to the channel, some maker buoy areas that held brush and some deeper brush and just couldn't find a school. Water temp was 78.9. Better luck next time. Anyone finding the Bass on JPP?

John,
We managed to pick up 2 largemouth bass off of Point five. One was 4.25 and the other was 4.8 lbs.
Ours came off the channel edge in 25 FOW on live shad.

I caught a decent lm up by hobson pike..launched out of long hunter as well. I caught him on a shad rap tho after we had the whites busting all around us, probably about 730ish maybe. We went over to Bryant grove after that marking a bunch of fish but no takers. I will def. second the slow day on jpp vote

I with both of you, it was a very slow, tough day out there.
We managed to catch the two LM's, two small hybrids, one white bass and two catfish.
Had a number of short strikers where they just grabbed the shad and ripped them off without engulfing the bait.
Next time out, I'm making up stinger hook rigs to catch those short striking SOB's!
