Fished it two days, did ok. Caught 3 or 4 catfish each day and 1 striper, 1 hybrid and 1 whitebass on sunday. Both days i was out at sunrise, was nice and cool haha. Flow was about 21K CFS so not too bad. Lots of boats out there. A couple of boats were just hauling in the little catfish, i think on chicken liver right in the main current. Talked to a guy who caught a few hybrids on a swim bait up near the dam and by the lock. I was using mostly live skipjack.
The pic is of the striper(top) and hybrid (bottom). Please correct me if I miss IDed these!

Yup, yellows are great eating.
And there are some nice ones in JPP.
One morning I caught three at once in the castnet. Each fish was about 12 inches long.
Too bad I was looking for shad that morning, otherwise, I'd have anchor locked on that spot and dropped a small spoon down to them.

I've never caught a yellow worth keeping. Did someone put those in Priest years back? Growing up fishing the lake I don't remember them being in there.

Nice fish! Yellow Bass are great tasting but the problem is most of them are too small to be worth the work of filleting. I like all the striped species of bass. Whites, Hybrids, Striped, and Yellow are all great table fare.
