Old Hickory Lake fishing report 7/30/2015

Another week as gone bye at the nature park creek and the fishing is great if you like catching 13 1/2" bass with some keeper up to 3lbs. I'm using a 8' black emerald lizard by Zoom , a space monkey rage tail by Strike King and a crazy flapper by Keitech. I'm working from shallow to 8' on the bottom real slow waiting for a tap and letting it pick it up before I set the hook. We are getting 6 to 15 bass a day everyday when everyone else is catching zip 0 nothing and leaving. Good job Woody,

The bass bite seems quite well on O.H. since it cooled a bit. Took my grandson yesterday, out of Shutes Landing and hit some points. I was using small shad imitation crankbaits catching lots of "fun" bass (10-12").

My grandson made my day, and his too, when he caught this nicer fish on his bobber and worm rig. At 6-years-old, I'm glad to say he has caught the fishing bug already!
