Ol Hickory Lake last weekend

Started off early by and around Locke 3 and had no luck with plastics what so ever, maybe 3 or so bites by 11. But then moved over to the left side of the dam by the rocks and lit em up! Small square bill crank baits were the lure of choice, caught mostly 3 pounders but a lunker periodically. Came back in for lunch at Black Eyed Peas and was very impressed with the local diner. Cruised back out after lunch, tried to hit up some shallow spots but 2 fish is all we could find. Left around 5ish that night. It was my first trip out there thanks to your guys' posts on here and was very happy with the trip.

Being raised in Hendersonville, I've never even fished in the Lock 3 area. I've seen videos of folks catching catfish around there. Been considering launching down Walton Ferry to see what it's all about. Do you recommend?
