I usually don't have much to post, but Sunday morning I was going across OH, and seen what I believe to be pelicans. I have fished OH for many years, and never seen these.
Maybe their migration?

Probably migrating through. I met a guy in FL that said the white ones come from the north and the black/white/grey ones are residents in the south. Makes sense, we had lots of white ones in MN, no dark ones.

They have been on JPP in the Fall for several years now. Many parts of the Tennessee river as well.

Saw them on G'ville 2 weeks ago. Thought it was kinda strange

I was fishing in Drake's Creek a few weeks ago. There was a guy on the shore with a real nice camera and tripod. He asked if I'd seen any (I hadn't). Guess it's a big deal.

Interesting. I'm from South Florida and never saw a white one down there. I thought the white's were mostly Gulf Coast oriented and basically migrated the Mississippi flyway.

I've seen them while fishing in Ontario in July. I had to take pictures as proof, knowing nobody would believe me! Or maybe I had 1 to many Molson Canadians the night before.

Yup - hardly used to see many at all up there - but lately they have been really increasing in numbers. And the outfitters DESPISE them - because they eat 3 lbs of fish per day…..
Speaking of which, saw a pair on JPP this week out by Poole Knobs.
