Floated from Normandy Bridge to Dement Bridge Sunday and there was a big kill going on.
Waterfowl were loving it, we were chasing ducks, geese and seagulls down the river.
Could not get a single bite between the three of us.
Plus the river was up and got colder and rained harder as the day went on.
Not the best day on the Duck ever!

Fished it Saturday near handicap section, wading, and caught 10.One of the trout i caught, about 12", was full of minnows. Just a few days prior to Saturday I had caught 56.Still fun getting on river and seeing Alpha Hawk do his magic on the Duck.

Fishing was tough all weekend. I think there may actually be something to those solunar charts after all. 5 of us couldn't catch even a stocker trout in the Caney Fork on Trout Mags, that's unheard of.
We packed up and went into Center Hill Lake and only one bass was caught, a nice Smallie that John caught. CBY had a tournament Saturday at Chickamauga with 31 anglers and only two bass caught! Rough weekend for sure, let's hope things pick up this weekend.

I was grouchy this weekend knocking out the honeydoes and couldn't make it out on the water. But these reports are making me feel a lot better.

Was going to go back to Normandy but they upped the flow so can't go there for a while. Did get to test out a new rod though on a couple of trout in some swifter water....rod worked great and it was fun. If Ed wasn't catching I knew I wasn't going to catch so after another trout or two I left shortly after him. The good thing about that massive shad kill is they will eat well for a while and when I catch the Kentucky bass run up river in a few weeks they should be good and fat along with the trout.
