Wading the Obey??

Where are the places to wade the Obey?

On Low water only.

From the ramp below the Dam up towards the Dam a little ways then down to just before Moody's ramp. There is a deep hole there you can't wade through. Used to be a trail around it to access the gravel bar below and then you wade wade down a ways. Every now and then bank hop to get around a deep hole but there is some wading downstream. The left hand bend below Moody's has some good fish in it.

Any water running its a no go for wading.

It is a great River to fish, that hardly gets any pressure. Especially this time of the year.
*Watch out when walking on the ramps, they can be extremely slick with algae/muck.

My wife and I are planning to hit the Obey very soon. It will be our first trip to the river, and not the lake. Excited to get up there. We fished just above the dam and camped - I ended up getting poison ivy. That wasn't fun. I hope the fishing is better!
